- - - - overall personality, First of all, Emery is a very approachable person. She won't be phased if a random person comes up to her and gives her a hug, in fact, she'll probably like it. She's a generally friendly person, and caring too. You can use her a shoulder to cry on whenever you want to - no matter what time it is she'll always be around for her friends. I guess this might be because she has a huge sense of maternal instinct because she had to take care of her younger sister for so many years, but either way, she is a kind caring person, and because of this she can never understand why anyone would try to hurt her. In a way she always feels she is innocent - but maybe she's just being self-righteous.
Emery is what people usually call 'calm and collected'. Hardly anything can phase her. She's not afraid of bugs or spiders, or even snakes for that matter. She keeps a level head at all time - and is very good with reasoning her way out of sticky situations. But don't get her wrong, she's usually nice about everything, but she can snap back if you do so first. For a calm person she has a very sharp tongue, and she'll use it if need be. Some good advice for those of you out there who are dead set on pissing her off - don't try her.
Hopeless romantic? Yes. That's Emery. She's a sucker for a charmer, and she'll go weak at the knees for any sort of romance. Of course, she doesn't tell anyone this because she doesn't want people to think she's some sort of sap. Emery is a faithful person, and yes, she's usually in it for the long haul. She's not the kind of girl that will go around and sleep with whoever looks her way - that's not her style.

- - - - overall history, Some parents get divorced - some fight constantly and pay sparse attention to their children. Some are actually good parents who give a damn - but then for no good reason, they get taken from their children. It happened when Emery was eight years old, and her sister was only two. They were home with the babysitter, while their parents were out on their tenth wedding anniversary. No matter how hard the babysitter tried, she just couldn't get Emery to sleep. Finally, she gave up and left the child to lie awake in her bed. Yes - Emery was only eight years old, but she knew something was horribly wrong. She lay awake for hours, eager to hear the sound of her parents car pull into the driveway. But the sound never came. Eventually Emery fell into a restless sleep - filled with images of the crash she never saw happening.
The two children were sent to an orphanage, as they had no relatives around that could take them in. It was tough on Emery, because she was more aware of their situation than her little sister, but she tried her best to look happy in front of Daisy, she felt that it was her purpose now - to take care of her sister and raise her the way her mother would have wanted. The orphanage noticed this, thank goodness, and they refused to let anyone adopt one sister without adopting the other. This was a huge burden on most families - as most only wanted one child. So Emery and Daisy stayed in the orphanage for over nine years. When Emery turned sixteen, they allowed her to start working as a runner and a waitress where ever she could find place. Her aim was to save up enough money so that by the time she turned eighteen she could move her and her sister out of the wretched orphanage.
It was easy for her to see that Daisy wasn't happy in that place - she needed the comfort of a family life. She needed the security of having someone to call 'mom' and 'dad'. So finally Emery made a very hard decision. She told the head nurse that it was okay to let anyone adopt Daisy on her own - as long as they were good people. It's safe to say that Daisy was adopted within the next two weeks, leaving her sister behind with nothing but her music - which was fine with Emery, because she knew it was what her sister deserved. She continued to work, and save, and over the months her love and passion for music developed into a fire. She knew exactly what she wanted to do when she was done with school. She wanted to get into the music career - any part of it. Word of this reached the head nurse, and she started contacting universities around the world.
On Emery's eighteenth birthday the head nurse presented her with a scholarship from a university in England. Her story had touched the heart of the governing body of the school and they agreed to pay for her studies and her accommodation on campus. She studied the full course for three years - passing with flying colors. And finally, she ended up with what she would call the best band in the world. Here There & Everywhere. To her - this was the life. This was all she needed.[/ul][/ul]
